Day Eleven: Pinterest
Don't judge me. :) I know at a glance this post looks super long and dumb because you think it's about Pinterest but it's not. Ha! It's kind of a "If you give a mouse a cookie..." type of post (for those of you who know what I'm talking about.) If you don't want to read about my silly T-shirt scarves and more you can skip down to the bolded part that says "This is the part where it gets good" in bold letters.
I'm thankful for Pinterest because it gives me a legitimate excuse to make recipes that may or may not turn out the way they should; an excuse to paint, color, glue, cut, or tape nearly everything known to man; an excuse to start decorating for Christmas in October; an many many other things. Here's a few pictures from the website that I have personally tried myself. Some have worked...some have not.

"Strawberries dipped in yogurt"
Not worth the time. They taste pretty good, but you can break a tooth.

"watermelon, feta, and mint salad"
Sounds disgusting but is seriously one of my favorite things now. Throw some basil in there too

"Cookie for one in a jar"
Nope! Didn't work at all! Although I think this one has to do with me...did you know olive oil and canola oil were two different things? You didn't? Good, I didn't know that either. I do now though. Let me tell ya, olive oil has a way of ruining a perfectly good cookie.
This is that part I told you about where it gets good...
Today I'm on Pinterest and I come across this post/pin/whatever-you-call-it and the caption says "Can anyone in
Walla-Walla Washington cut hair like this??" and had a picture of hair that was layered a certain way. I almost screamed. I not only know where Walla-Walla is, but I know someone who lives there! Multiple people! One of my Sunday School teachers and his family recently moved to Walla-Walla Washington. This silly post/pin/whater-you-call-it made me think about how sweet the 'C' family is, how much I miss them, and how much they taught me while they were here. Mike and Ashley are two incredible role models in my life and even though they may be hours away I still keep the memories we share close to my heart.
So I'm sitting at my computer thinking about my Sunday School teachers and I realize how incredibly thankful I am for Rhett and Lauren, who continue to teach my Sunday school classes. :) Sunday morning is seriously the only day of the week my parents don't have to drag me out of bed and it's because I truly look forward to Sunday school and going to church. Rhett and Lauren are awesome! I not only see them on Sundays but on most weeks I usually end up at their house at least once a week for about an hour or two just to hang out and chill. :D I may or may not go so I have an excuse to watch children's shows ;)
