One of those days...
Well the plan for the day was for the youth group to go to Galloway to help set up and serve during a St. Patrick's Day party. Then we were going to Laser Quest and CiCi's Pizza! Woo Hoo!!!! =D Well, Michael was able to do that. Haha I had a different experiance.
So I was holding a wooden door open for Ms. Rose (A SUPER SWEET lady who I've grown to absolutely adore!!!!!!) Anyway, when I did I got a splinter in my thumb. No biggie, I went on a search for some tweezers and eventually this lady brought me a giant pair of plastic "safety tweezers" because that was the only thing they had. Still not a big deal. I'm trying to get the stupid splinter out for like EVER until the lady offers to try and get it. So she's barely doing anything. Like seriously, she was just looking at it and EVERYTHING starts spinning and going darker and my ears were ringing. Haha I imagine what I looked like was pretty funny. I was swaying around and the lady (who was very nice by the way) kept telling me I needed to sit down. I did finally and felt better, but my head was killing me.
Mom came and got me and we assumed that my blood sugar had just dropped or something. Nope. Blood pressure maybe? It was very high, but 10 minutes later it was normal. Got to hot in too small of a space? Maybe, but I had been doing yard work this morning and was completely fine, and small spacese don't bother me. At this point I STILL had the stupid splinter in my finger.
Head was still killing me about an hour later so we went to Dr. Bubba's He pulled out the splinter, and procceded to tell us that it's a normal case and it's all cool. The "dizzy spell" more than likely triggered a migraine.
One super cool thing I got out of the experiance? I've lost a total of 8 pounds since I found out I was diabetic!!!!!! YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and I've totally found an excersise I L-O-V-E!!!!!!!! Crazy right? Haha I love the rhythm boxing on Wii Fit. Mostly beause I like to make fun of myself for messing up, but it's so much fun!!! Lol
Grandma started Physical Therepy today =) She's doing better every day!
Haha I call this a Melissa Moment for sure... The PT nurse came in this morning and asked "So, how did you get here?" Grandma said "An Ambulance brought me" hahaha "No, I meant whay are you in the hospital?" "Oh!!!" =D

Lots going on!!!
So, I joined the Arlington Photography Club!!!! SUPER excited!!!!! These two pics are my favorite, but there are others on my Facebook page if you want to see. We had a small class, and then walked behind the Town Hall to take pictures of this old broken firetruck. It was awesome! I loved it!!! I seriously learned more in that hour and a half than I have ever learned about cameras. =)
Well, this past week has been insane. Grandma is doing better, but it will be a very long road to recovery. Dad is still sick with this sinus infection deal, but he doesn't seem like he's feeling any better. I got a call yesterday from one of my amazing friends that she's moving to Montana because her dad got a new job. Mom started a new class yesterday, and I know she's really stressed out. At first I was really overwhelmed by everything, but someone gave me some awesome advice.
Look at all the positives about it.Super simple right? It put everything in perspective for sure! So, the next few lines are me looking at all the positive stuff:
Grandma is still in hospital, and will be for a while, but she's going to get better!!!!
Dad will get better too. It's just a kick butt sinus infection or something...?
She hasn't moved yet! She won't until May, and until then we'll just have to hang out as much as possible.
It gives me the opportunity to help my mom out more. =)
Life's been crazy, but God isn't going anywhere. =D All the stuff going on is just a little piece of life. <3

Untitled
My grandmother had a stroke last night. She's currently in the hospital, but the doctors are saying that with a lot of physical therapy she'll make a full recovery. I haven't been able to go see her yet, but I know she's gonna be ok. She's absolutely amazing.
Haha when we were little and my mom worked during the summer at Mother's Day Out we'd go spend the day at grandma's house. She would let us go pick toys out of the big shed in her backyard and we'd play for EVER!!!! She kept my mom's toys from when she was a little kid so she has huge boxes of barbies, barbie houses, board games, legos, little people (but they are wooden little people...not the plastic ones with the dresses you see today) and tons of stuff. She always gave a us a little debbie at 2:00 in the afternoon as a snack because that was "snack time." EVERY day!!! My absolute favorite thing to do with her now though is shop. =D She loves Dillards and JCPennys, Kohls ( <3 ) and pretty much whatever.
One time we were shopping and she was trying on new clothes. She puts a shirt on and my mom goes "ew. Don't buy that. That doesn't look good on you at all." Grandma looked at her and says "This is the shirt I wore when I came to the store today" Hahahaha! That's the big joke between them now.
Anyway, my grandma is one awesome lady. <3 love her SO much!!!!!!! Keep her in your prayers. :-)

We're in the car and mom says
"Your dad and I went to Off the Hoof today"
"NOT FAIR!"
"I love me some swaffles. Sweet potatoes in any shape form or fashion are cool with me."

This Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 I'm going to this teen photography class with Jerry Borwick from JB Portraits. He's AWESOME and I'm super super excited about it!!! Check some out:
